Fico House is located in one of the most visible spots of the city. Its location, size and the beauty are some of the reasons why its image is present in many postcards of Gjirokastra.
It is the most spotted house in the old city, because of its yellow color.
This house is built later than other houses, exactly in 1902. The structure is almost the same as other traditional houses, but the decorations interior and exterior is treated differently. It is much simpler, with less carving decorations. The attic on the house is one of the most unique elements. It is located in the centre of the house, on the top floor.
Another element different from the other houses is the stone bridge outside linking this house with the house next to it, which belong to other relatives.
