Historical center of PERMET

The Government of Albania declared the whole historical center of Permet as a protected area. The decision was taken in 18.01.2017 to protect the values of architecture and religious buildings of the area. The protected area includes the areas of Shenkoll (Varosh) and Teke. Inside this protected area are two important religious objects: The Church of St Premte, built in 1776, and the Church of St Koll built in the 19th century. The protected area also includes all the hill of Bolenga, and the castle and many two-story houses and vilas, built hundreds of years ago.
