Tourism this year experienced an unusual stalemate, due to COVID 19 and as a result the only hope for tourism businesses was the domestic tourism. Many initiatives were launched throughout Albania by destination management organizations and tour operators, while Visit Gjirokastra, as a tourism management association in Gjirokastra Region became a partner of the #RriNeAlbania initiative by GIZ Albania the Ministry of Environment and Tourism. Visit Gjirokastra Association was involved in this campaign, organizing tours for the ambassador elected for Gjirokastra Region, Mr. Roland Hysi. Visit Gjirokastra prepared all the cultural and natural itineraries of the ambassador of the #RriNëShqipëri campaign, including tours in the stone city of Gjirokastra, in the villages, as well as in the main attractions of the city of Përmet.
The promotional tour lasted 3 days from 3 July- 6 July 2020
